Beach season is upon us and all over the country people are getting ready to load up the cars and head out to the seaside!  Spring cleaning is cluing up and in the midst of it all, the beach towels, canopies, tables, picnic baskets and beach chairs are being left out in anticipation for summer excursions to the beach.

A beach chair is the centerpiece to any day by the ocean.  Even if you like to lay in the sand on a towel, at least having a chair will give you the option to come up off the ground.  Having a beach lounge chair with you will allow you a place to sit when you want to eat your lunch or to read while sitting instead of laying down. There are many types of portable beach chairs available on the market today.  There are folding chairs, canvas chairs, aluminum chairs and heavy duty chairs that are great for any kind of outing outdoors.  They can be purchased in department stores, sporting goods stores, outdoor shops and anywhere that sells outdoor furniture.  The price, of course, will depend on the type you buy but typically, these types of chairs are very affordable.  It is possible to also get wholesale beach chairs which will cost less than the ones you buy at other stores.

Once you have your chair picked out, you can add as many of your favorite accessories to it as you want.  You can have a beach umbrella to go with it to keep you sheltered from the sun and you can even get attachments for the arm rests that allow you to place a drink.  This summer, don’t find yourself at the beach without this important item that will make your day go a lot smoother and you will be more comfortable!

With so many restrictions regarding how much luggage you can take with you when traveling, flying has become a stressful ordeal. The problem is we really do not have a choice if we want to go anywhere. Airline security regulations have affected us all whether it is a business woman taking a short trip with just a pink carry on luggage or a family taking an extended vacation with a full pink luggage set ,we all have to deal with the new normal. In order to save not only money but also time and stress, you have to make sure that you have the ideal luggage.

Just a few years ago we did not really have any concerns about what kind of bag we would take with us while traveling. Today though things are considerably different, airlines are requiring that bags be within certain dimensions and be under a certain weight. You don’t want to find out that at the last minute that you can’t take your new designer pink leather luggage that you bought specially for that trip.

In order to avoid problems you need to check with your specific airline well before your flight. If you have not travelled recently make sure to call and confirm the details, airline regulations and security rules can change rapidly. In fact a few times in the past several years luggage restrictions have changed two or three times over the course of a single weekend.

When you start looking for new luggage most websites will show you the exact dimensions of the luggage you are viewing so that you can make sure that your airline will allow it. Just because you are restricted to a certain sizes and weights doesn’t mean that you need to forego your sense of style. Airline approved luggage is available in a wide range of colors, sizes and designs. If you like to put a little fun into your trip you can purchase a nice pink luggage set, or if you are the more adventurous type you can pick up some hot pink luggage which make you the center of attention. Regardless of the colour or style of bag just make sure that the airline will actually let you take it with you

Many of the typical products offered today provide little in the way of comfort. Padded camping chairs can be a more comfortable solution, if you plan on sitting for longer periods of time, such as with fishing or simply sitting around the camp fire. There are many models to choose from, depending on your needs.

Some models are made similarly to the traditional Coleman folding chairs, so they fold up easily for transport and come with the same type of storage bag. What makes them different is their construction. Some models have pieces of foam sewn in between the layers of canvas, on the back and seat. Others come with a removable quilted cushion, which also has a thin layer of foam sewn in.

Regardless of your needs, you should look at a variety of outdoor camping seats before purchasing one, to select one that is most comfortable for you. Costs for the more comfortable models are not that much greater than for the more typical models, so if you think you will need some extra comfort, they are well worth the extra money you spend.

There are reclining camping chairs, which are much more expensive, but worth the money in the comfort and portability they provide. They are designed to look much like outdoor loungers, but with an extra layer of foam sewn into the padded seat and in the headrest. These models are considered heavy duty camping chairs, as they provide plenty of room for larger frames and can hold quite a bit more weight, with their heavier steel construction.

Additional offerings include double folding chairs, which are designed for couples or to keep small children under a watchful eye. As with other models, these special products come in a wide variety of color options and sizes, to fit the needs of everyone in your family or group.

Once you have spent a great deal more than expected on your wedding, you dread even the thought of planning for the honeymoon. This is something most of us face, because we want to have a dream wedding and to fulfill all those dreams we end up overspending that what we had budget for. Nothing could be more romantic than planning a luxurious honeymoon with your spouse. But for that you need to shell out a great deal of money. Depending on how much time you have to spend on honeymoon you plan your honeymoon trip.

It could be a month long excursion across Europe or a short one such as a weekend getaway locally. It all depends on the number of days you have in hand and the funds. You can try to keep your honeymoon fun as well as less expensive if you keep a few things in mind. Many honeymooners plan their visit to a destination when it is offseason. This surely saves a great deal of money, but also gives you the opportunity to explore the place with your spouse without having to push your way through a crowd. Going offseason doesn’t mean you will face bad weather. A number of tropical places have moderate climate through out the year.

Spend some time researching for the best offers for honeymooners. You can start your planning as early as when you are planning the wedding. Once the wedding date is set, you must start preparing for the honeymoon dates too. Keep looking for a good offer in a newspaper advertisement or magazines. Compare various offers to find the one that is most affordable yet enjoyable. You do not wish to bore your spouse, by taking her or him to a place which is unromantic.

Vacations packages offer a variety of offers which are made keeping all sorts of budgets in mind. You can select something within your budget if you check at good travel companies. It is also a good idea to keep your avenues open for more honeymooning options than the usual ones. Remember that you are going on a honeymoon, so when you are holidaying you should not overdo the fun and activities part. There has got to be a balance between activities which you do in groups and certain exclusively with your spouse only. There are many great honeymoon options available, take time to select the one that best suited for you.

Since most of us make a big production about planning and organizing a trip we can’t see the value in taking or making last minute vacations. But when we do this we are missing out on the biggest benefit of these type of vacations. If we think about it we are going on vacation as a change of pace or to get away to some exotic locale. For most of us this means we have to make the plans with a budget in mind. This means we will usually have to make a compromise or two before it’s all done. However, if we can stick with the main or central idea of what we want to experience on our getaway then being flexible enough to take advantage of last minute getaways just makes sense.

By traveling in this manner we can very easily end up staying longer on our trip because it cost less in the first place. Or maybe we end up in a much nicer destination then we could normally afford to stay in. Or maybe we get to partake in some activities that we couldn’t normally afford but because we saved so much on traveling we can now do. All of this is possible with this mode of travel. Who knows you might just end up taking advantage of last minute deals to hawaii!

A large number of tourists want to spend their holidays in villas instead of hotels. The main reason is that cheap holiday villas offer larger rooms with full service. Renting a villa for a longer period of time is much more like a home away from home for your vacation.

Rates for a villa will vary depending on location and the quality of the property. A group of people sharing a villa can cut the cost down significantly. Splitting the costs this way will impact the expense for each individual. Each villa has differing services such as room service, meals, etc.

There are many places with cheap villas. For instance the coast of Spain has many popular areas with a selection of rentals. Even many cheaper villas still come with pools, saunas and other facilities. Some great locations in Spain to find villas are the Costa Brava, Costa Del Sol and Costa Blanca. A place where many people visit and stay in cheap villas is the tropical location of Bali. Due to the lower cost of living in Bali, many wonderful, on the beach villas are much, much cheaper than their European counterparts.

The Internet is the place to start your research in order to find a wide and varied selection of cheap villas. There’s a large selection of companies that represent villa owners and which will facilitate your dream vacation at a lovely locale. www.dreamvillarentals.com and www.clickforholidayhomes.com are two such organizations. Here villas from many different locations are represented and you may find many reasonably priced properties. When you know the destination that you want to visit, ask your travel agent for more information on that area. Remember you may also find hidden gems after you have arrived in your destination, villas that don’t even advertise on the Internet

Two cities stand out to me from my recent trip to the United States of America. Each city for completely different reasons but then they are completely different cities. I had my doubts about Miami because I thought it was just a party town without much substance. I was wrong. I always knew I would love Boston though and it did not disappoint. I’ve put together a recap of each city, some Miami travel tips and some information about Boston, so that others will know what to expect when they play tourist.

Now, don’t get me wrong, Miami is a party town but it also showcases great Art Deco architecture and design. There is an area of the city, The Miami Beach Art Deco District, which contains the largest concentration of 1920s and 1930s resort architecture in the world. The buildings are colorful and curvaceous machinations of stucco and neon representing an era that has become synonymous with Miami architecture. The best way to experience the streets of South Beach is to take a walking tour with a virtual guide. Apparently, the hurricane of 1926 leveled the entire town of South Beach and therefore there was a lot of land to rebuild, which is why there is concentration of Art Deco in this neighborhood.

When I flew into Boston from Miami I could see from the plane that it would be all that I had hoped for and more. After stopping in at the tourism center and gathering some free Boston travel tips, I decided to join another walking tour. The Freedom Trail covers 4 kilometers and 16 historic sites starting with the Boston Common. The trail is marked with a line of red paint, or red brick, on the sidewalk, so it is easy to follow even without a map. And the best way to end the day was to tour Sam Adams Brewery and sample the beer. How can you not love Boston when they provide free beer?

The smell of citrus in the air, beautiful lush green fields, lime and orange groves combined with the beautiful weather in Algorfa make for an enchanting holiday experience. Although, Algorfa is a small little known village in the Southern part of the Alicante province, it is still one of the most alluring and picturesque spots for vacationing and for residence. This area of the Costa Blanca is a very popular amongst tourists and many other reasons lie behind the fantastic weather that blesses this region year after year.

Algorfa is located in the southern part of Spain making it a part of the Mediterranean climatic zone of the country. It is also a short distance away from the beaches of Costa Blanca which means the tourists can enjoy their vacation at the seaside with little to worry about in terms of bad weather conditions.

The Segura River, upon whose banks the little village is situated, ensures fertile land and thus the cultivation of beautiful groves of lime and orange trees. The weather of Algorfa is also perfectly suitable for this kind of crop and increases the magnetism of this drowsy little town.

Many foreign families have made Algorfa their home due to its many positive aspects. Like its weather, Algorfa’s people are also warm and loving. International residents have found Algorfa’s people to be helpful, caring and full of life. Due to its agricultural surroundings, Algorfa still maintains an air of old world charm, rustic appeal and traditional culture. The Mediterranean climate ensures that life in Algorfa is active and full of vitality. Although the village seems to be slow and lethargic at a casual glance, a little time spent in the midst of the people convinces one of its inherent passionate buzz. Like bees in a hive, Algorfa is a centre of constant work and festivity combined.

For a tourist or visitor, the average temperature of 19 degrees provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy the village’s sights and travel to its neighboring towns or the seaside. The weather in Alicante promises at least 300 days of sunshine, increasing its choice as a favored spot for vacation and for residence.

Golf holidays in Portugal are synonymous with picturesque countryside, year round warm weather and no end to choice of courses to play. This post focuses on everything that the Algarve has to offer the holidaying golfer.

In terms of finding the perfect golf holiday Algarve, in the south of Portugal, has been attracting European golfers for decades. The eastern Algarve region bordering Spain has mild weather all year round so proves popular even in winter. The Monte Rei golf resort is the jewel of the area with its perfect landscaping and design (by Jack Nicklaus).

Other courses such as the Benamor and Castro Marim are enjoyable to play for their great views (especially from the higher tee-boxes). The Quinta Do Vale is a young course (2008) that is starting to mature nicely. Designed by Seve Balasteros the course has some tough long par-4s and the placement of traps/rough will punish errant shots.

Western Algarve is defined by the prevailing ocean breezes that can really alter how any of the coastal courses play. The Oceanico O’Connor parkland course and its sister course (the Faldo desert-style course) were each designed to make use of the ocean breeze, as well as the locations topography. The Nick Faldo course has a wonderful mix of undulating fairways, dunes and rolling greens.  The nearby Parque Da Floresta is a great hillside course with challenging holes playing across the slopes that is made all the more difficult when the wind is gusting (low trajectory ball flight becomes a necessity).

The central Algarve area around Vilamoura is the real hub for golfing in the region with its glut of golf resorts and courses all within a short car drive. While the 10+ Oceanico courses are all very enjoyable, the real standout course has got to be the Old Course for its mature landscaping and consistently fast greens. Years of careful management have made each hole a challenge and every vista picture perfect.

The locals will also recommend playing Quinta do Lago Laranjal and Vila Sol which perfectly suit amateur golfers. And for a real challenge then follow in the footsteps of the professionals with a round at Vale Do Lobo Royal, host on several occasions to the Portugal Open.

Staying in Doolin hotels, guest houses or bed and breakfasts is a great way to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, great food and picturesque scenery around this harbor town in the west of Ireland. The following list comprises some of the best hotels that are well regarded for their facilities, great views and central locations.

The first 3-star hotel in the village was the Aran View House Hotel perched on the coast road overlooking the sea. The hotel only has 19 rooms so has a very cozy feel about it. The unimpeded views out to the Aran Islands gave the hotel its name and most rooms have excellent sea/countryside views.

The family, double and twin rooms are spacious and airy with modern facilities throughout. Of special note is the hotel restaurant and bar. The restaurant has a great menu of traditional Irish cuisine that makes the most of locally sourced produced. The bar also serves wholesome pub fair throughout the day and provides, in the high season, musical entertainment with traditional Irish music sessions.

Staying in the village, the Ballyvara 4 star guest house has a great location within a short walk of the village and harbor. Each guest room is uniquely designed with contemporary amenities such as satellite TV, marble en-suites and even Jacuzzi baths.

For those traveling in a group there is also the option of family rooms with their own balconies and 2 self catering studio apartments. The studio apartments have the extra flexibility of having their own kitchen and dining area in an open plan designed apartment.

Finally, Tir Gan Ean is a 4 star hotel and probably the most modern in the area. Each of the hotels 12 guest rooms have all the latest gadgetry (plasma television, under floor heating, power showers) and upper floor rooms also have lift access. The delicious breakfast buffet has something to suit just about any palate.

Any trip to Doolin Ireland will be perfectly complemented by a relaxing stay at one of the above hotels and would form the ideal base for exploring the surrounding County Clare countryside.

Many women live a hectic and stress filled lifestyle in our modern society. Between duties at work and at home, there is little time leftover to care for your own needs. Sometimes you just have to stop and take a break from your multi-tasking routine. Perhaps that is why girlfriend getaways are on the rise as the travel industry provides more and more specialty themed packages and destinations.

There is no way one article could contain all the possible destinations that are available for you to choose from, so we will look at 6 hot destinations. If you are looking for girl weekend getaway ideas, then perhaps these destinations will give you something to think about.

Getaway #1: Las Vegas, Nevada. Set in the desert of southern Nevada, Las Vegas is known for its lavish excesses. Resorts that work non-stop to outdo one another. See your favorite celebrity show, play some blackjack, or maybe take in something different like the fine arts museum, the Eiffel Tower replica, or even a zero gravity space flight simulation in a Boeing 727.

Getaway #2: St. Lucia, Caribbean. If you are looking for a lower key, stress free getaway with the girls, St. Lucia is a great choice. A typical girlfriend’s package includes a two-bedroom suite, massages, private cooking class, a one-hour sailing lesson and unlimited sailboat rental, pedicure and manicure at Serenity Spa, sunset cruise, and more.

Getaway #3: Solvang, California. Located in the beautiful Santa Ynez wine valley. Blue sky and rolling green hills. Just north of LA near Santa Barbara, Solvang offers a quaint Danish Village experience (but not touristy) with bakeries, resorts, restaurants, and several blocks of unique shops. The perfect getaway among girlfriend getaways.

Getaway #4: New York City. Everyone knows the big apple. Stay in beautiful hotels, take in the museums, be entertained at a Broadway show, see celebrities, visit major studios, take a harbor cruise, and of course, shop at Macy’s and Bloomingdales.

Getaway #5: Sunny Isles Florida. A tropical barrier island retreat where you can be lazy on the beach or have a night on the town. Of course there is always shopping and international cuisine. The atmosphere in Sunny Isles is casual and fun.

Getaway #6: Eagle Island, Georgia. A small private island that offers fishing, kayaking, and a generous dose of peace and quiet.

There are hundreds of possible destinations for girlfriend getaways, and an ever-increasing number of discount packages tailored accordingly. The list above barely scratches the surface but gives you an idea of the variety that is available.

Phoenix, Arizona is one of the most popular traveler destinations in the US during winter months, but with great regional Southwestern cuisine, its distinctive desert landscape and its proximity to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, Arizona it’s a great place to visit for a long weekend or a week, any time of year.

The city’s location on the Interstate 10 freeway, the major east-west route through the southern United States, means that there are many, many cheap hotels in Phoenix from which to choose. Naturally all the major chains are represented, and on a recent trip I was pleased to find that accommodation prices were noticeably lower than other major metropolitan areas in the US, certainly lower than the East Coast. I also found restaurant prices to be very reasonable.

If you enjoy hiking or bicycling and you’re in Phoenix during non-summer months, you’re in for a treat with Camelback Mountain, Papago Park and Piestewa Peak (if you’re feeling fit!) nearby. Bikes are easily rented, and even if you just do a hike, you’ll be amazed at the stark beauty of the Southwest desert.

By all means do some shopping in Scottsdale, which is Phoenix’s area of upscale nightlife and high-end restaurants. You might find yourself reminded of Beverly Hills in the desert in Scottsdale, with its designer shops and first-class malls.

Regardless what time of year you visit you should take a road trip up to the Grand Canyon if you can make the time. It’s roughly five hours north of Phoenix, and even the drive up is quite spectacular as you go from low desert to high desert. Everyone should see the Grand Canyon at least once, and Phoenix is an ideal hub from which to make this side trip, which could potentially be done in one long day if time is limited.

Sedona, Arizona is another unique Arizona destination, with its amazing red rock formations and new-age feel. If you feel like you deserve a splurge, Sedona has many high-end spas where you can be pampered to your heart’s content.

Phoenix has enough in the way of activities and natural wonders nearby to easily warrant a week’s holiday there. While it’s certainly pleasant in the winter months the spring and fall can also be quite temperate and comfortable too.

It is always interesting when it comes to people taking trips on how did they come to make that decision. A lot of people just make the same trip plans year after year. Partly because they know what to expect and partly because they of course enjoy the activities they know will be there waiting for them when they arrive. Is this how you usually make your trip plans?

Planning A Satisfying Vacation

Most good things usually are the result of planning that has taken place behind the scenes and before the event in question. Traveling is no different in that respect. If you make a conscious effort to list all of the activities you will want to do before you make a vacation destination decision you may discover that it frees you to choose a number of other destinations that may provide the same activities and even more. In fact just being able to ponder other destinations outside of what you are normally acquainted with can lead to some ideas that you may never had considered before. And by having more then just one or two places that can satisfy the activities you want to participate in it should be easier to find travel deals as well.

Aruba is considered to have many appealing timeshare resorts. When booking your vacation, bear in mind the seasons: generally, the low season runs from April 15th to December 15th; the high season from December 16th to April 14th (although this can vary slightly between different resorts). The standard rate for Aruba timeshares during low season is $300 per room per night; during high season it is $400 per room per night.

The island of Aruba is extremely popular with families, couples and honeymooners as has so many attractions. Its tropical climate and gorgeous calm, blue-green seas entice people back again and again. Whether you want culture, entertainment or simply a really relaxing beach vacation, Aruba has something for everyone. The annual Aruba carnival runs from January into March and features many eye-catching parades and shows.

La Cabana Beach and Racquet Club is one example of a popular timeshare resort on the island that has a huge selection of activities for adults and kids. It is set on Aruba’s well known Eagle Beach and is really handy as it is only 15 minutes away from Queen Beatrix Airport. The island’s capital, Oranjestad, is only five minutes away.

The resort itself has 449 suites which have fully equipped kitchen areas, a health and fitness center, beauty salon, spa, shopping center and car rental office. Kids love the swimming pool with its slides, junior pool and play area. There is a supervised kids’ program to give parents a break! Additional services include wireless internet service, tours around the island and water sport activities which can be booked though the concierge. There is an impressive choice of dining options, several bars and regular live entertainment acts.

If you are interested in researching Aruba timeshares with a view to making an investment yourself, look for a reputable company. Visit Aruba for yourself and enjoy a vacation there before deciding it is the timeshare location for you. Many people think so!

If you are simply planning to rent an Aruba timeshare for your next vacation, you can often save money by looking for timeshare auctions on Ebay. Many rentals for different destinations are available and it’s a great way to find a great price.

Cruises are an attractive and often overlooked alternative to the more traditional type of travel. For most vacations, the journey to and from the destination is a mostly unpleasant thing to be endured. However, with cruises, part of the vacation is the journeying itself, with the various ports of call being not being the exclusive focus of the trip.

The principal reason cruises are not considered as a vacation option by more people is because most travelers assume they are prohibitively expensive. However, this is not necessarily true, especially when you consider the cost of staying in a hotel. While there are some luxury cruises that are marketed to upscale travelers, there are much more affordable cruises that still offer a quality experience. All inclusive cruises usually are the best bargains.

If you decide to book a cruise like this, it is important to find out exactly what items are included at no extra charge. For example, many cruise lines that advertise their cruises as including everything will actually charge you for such items as snacks, alcoholic drinks, and shore excursions. One cruise line that will not charge you for most things like this is Silversea Cruises. Radisson Seven Seas is an example of one that will charge you for some extras but not others.

Where you go on all inclusive cruises also has an impact on how much you save. On cruises in the Caribbean, for example, your shore excursions are likely to involve fewer and smaller expenditures than you would have on a Mediterranean cruise, where there are so many cultural and historical attractions to see on land. Therefore, a cruise of this type in that region can be an especially good deal. A cruise that pays for at least some of these shore excursion expenses in Europe could save you a bundle over what you would spend staying in hotels.

When people think of Australia one of the first things that comes to mind is the rugged Australian Outback.  Although what is known as the Outback (the remote expanses of arid land)covers most of Australia and is technically accessible within a few hours drive from most of the coastal cities, what most tourist would consider the “genuine” Outback (usually an image of Ayers Rock is  attached to this vision) is actually located in the Northern Territory.  Many vacation packages in Australia include this destination as part of the more adventurous traveler’s itinerary.

Alice Springs, a small town located virtually right in the middle of the Australian continent, is the launching point of many Outback excursions.  Although it does not offer all the attractions of a big city, it still has plenty to offer in terms of culture.  Alice Springs is considered the art capitol of Australia with many art galleries featuring local and Aboriginal art.  Alice Springs is also home to many festivals throughout the year; sporting events such as cricket, football (Australian rules), and soccer; and many activities that take advantage of the natural surroundings.

From Alice Springs most people take a motorcoach ride (approximately 4-5 hours) to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (also accessible by plane from all corners of Australia), where they can stay in one of the few resort hotel accommodations in the area.  There are many guided tours throughout the park, featuring a narrative of the Aboriginal history and culture of the area, that take visitors through fantastic natural scenery, including gorges, waterholes, ancient rock formations, and Aboriginal rock art.  The highlight of this tour is Ayers Rock (also known as Uluru).  One can walk around Uluru or marvel at it’s beauty at a distance.  Be sure to be present and awake during sunrise and sunset to see the spectacular color changes that Uluru is known for.  Kata Tjuta (also known as the Olgas) is a fascinating group of rock formations close to Uluru that one can hike through.

For an extended Australia vacation in Northern Territory one can take the Ghan Train from Alice Springs north to Darwin (an overnight trip), a coastal city boasting many beaches, beautiful coastal scenery, and with access to the Arnhem Land and Kakadu National Park, both notable for their natural splendor and Aboriginal rock and bark paintings.  One can take the same Ghan Train south to Adelaide (also an overnight trip), with access to the rest of Eastern Australia.  The Northern Territory is sometimes considered to be in the middle of nowhere but it has much to offer for those who like the great outdoors.

If you have been online for any amount of time then I am sure you have come across a number of newly created travel clubs. The basic premise of all of them is that as a group the travel club has more buying power and therefore is able to negotiate travel resource discounts on the behalf of it’s members. Of course the ability of different clubs varies along with what they offer to their membership.
