I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I’ve lived in my house for only about 5 months now. This summer a couple of my friends and I want to travel somewhere but we’re all low on cash. So people, any good ideas of where we could go and what we could do?

We are going to Australia and New Zealand (south island) for 10 days in each place in December. Do you have any ideas of how a family of four can get around and stay cheaply? Train? Rental car? Ideas of Must see places?

The timing is still pretty open – we’ve got one week and must use it before May. What activities can we have in mind so as to have something besides “stay home” to do while on vaca. for a week?
