For those of you lucky enough to go to Italy you should know that finding a nice place to stay at should not be an issue. Keep in mind that Italy is probably one of the greatest tourist places in the world. As a result you will find a number of leading luxury apartments, bed and breakfast, inns, villas and expensive hotels to select from. Even though you may be saving money you still may choose something that is quite nice. This could be something as quaint as an Italian bed and breakfast or if in a bigger group a place that can house everyone. The world’s largest hotel chains all have locations in Italy if that is your preference. This is especially true in Rome.
You should find something to suit everyone during your vacation to Italy. However, having said that we would suggest that you attempt to stay at a small bed and breakfast versus luxury cottages if at all possible. Since most of these are family owned businesses you will come across all manner of little known facts, folklore and stories that have not been put in anybody’s guide book or tour.
If your vacation has more of a luxury flair to it and you are visiting Venice then you will want to look at staying at the Novecento Boutique Hotel for your holiday accomodation. It even offers free internet services as a sign of the times. But even so it still maintains an old adults only Venetian flair to it. This is something we know will be appreciated by even the most discerning of travelers. It is very close to most of the main attractions of Venice. and because it only has 9 rooms it can only accomodate smaller groups of travelers. You will discover that almost all of the rooms are filled with antiques. These have been collected by the actual owners from their own travels. You will also find that the bathrooms are especially large. Frequent traveler’s to the place have remarked that the food is excellent and note that this specific place is known for it’s peaceful settings. This could very well be one of the best resorts to spend time at if you happen to be in Venice.
If you think you will be visiting Florence then you should make arrangements to stay in a place aptly named the “Artist’s Residence”. This is because Florence, Italy is considered the soul of Italy’s artistic movement. This bed and breakfast will put you right in the middle of it all! You will find this place to be filled with 19th century sculptures that were created by Dupre (Giovanni). You shouldn’t be too surprised to find out that the current owner’s are his descendants. They have attempted to keep most of the ancient things intact and this includes things like original florentino tiled floors and even a confessional from 1500AD. If you remember ask for a bedroom that has a terrace overlooking the beautiful courtyard gardens. The food is said to be excellent here but in case you have other ideas then there are a number of different venues available to eat from. The place has 45 air conditioned rooms and comes complete with a solarium and fitness center.
