Many of the typical products offered today provide little in the way of comfort. Padded camping chairs can be a more comfortable solution, if you plan on sitting for longer periods of time, such as with fishing or simply sitting around the camp fire. There are many models to choose from, depending on your needs.
Some models are made similarly to the traditional Coleman folding chairs, so they fold up easily for transport and come with the same type of storage bag. What makes them different is their construction. Some models have pieces of foam sewn in between the layers of canvas, on the back and seat. Others come with a removable quilted cushion, which also has a thin layer of foam sewn in.

Costs for the more comfortable models are not that much greater than for the more typical models, so if you think you will need some extra comfort, they are well worth the extra money you spend.
There are reclining camping chairs, which are much more expensive, but worth the money in the comfort and portability they provide. They are designed to look much like outdoor loungers, but with an extra layer of foam sewn into the padded seat and in the headrest. These models are considered heavy duty camping chairs, as they provide plenty of room for larger frames and can hold quite a bit more weight, with their heavier steel construction.
