Since most of us make a big production about planning and organizing a trip we can’t see the value in taking or making last minute vacations. But when we do this we are missing out on the biggest benefit of these type of vacations. If we think about it we are going on vacation as a change of pace or to get away to some exotic locale. For most of us this means we have to make the plans with a budget in mind. This means we will usually have to make a compromise or two before it’s all done. However, if we can stick with the main or central idea of what we want to experience on our getaway then being flexible enough to take advantage of last minute getaways just makes sense.
By traveling in this manner we can very easily end up staying longer on our trip because it cost less in the first place. Or maybe we end up in a much nicer destination then we could normally afford to stay in. Or maybe we get to partake in some activities that we couldn’t normally afford but because we saved so much on traveling we can now do. All of this is possible with this mode of travel. Who knows you might just end up taking advantage of last minute deals to hawaii!
